Black Rock Mountain State Park

Blue Ridge Overlook
Just a few miles from the cabin is Black Rock Mountain State Park. The park includes a campground, several cabins located near the top of the mountain, some nice hiking trails, and a small lake.
Two feet of snow so far this winter, on Black Rock Mountain.
We took a back way to the park, via Persimmon Road and Persimmon Creek Road, Devil's Branch Road, North Germany Road, and finally Black Rock Mountain Road. Very scenic!

  1. It was too slippery to hike. The views were spectacular! Hiking next time.
