Gateway Arch, St. Louis, MO


No, we didn't take that picture, but it's so hard to get a decent picture of the thing, I borrowed it from Google.

It is an impressive monument to the country's westward expansion, for which St. Louis was the gateway. The interior, including the viewing gallery at the top, and the tram which gets you there, is 60's-era modern, very retro!

Looking down from the top, and to the west. The courthouse is where the Dred  Scott case was tried.
