Where to find food . . .



Closest is Lake Burton Grocery, at the junction of US-76 and Hilltop Lane (which runs between Timpson Cove Road and US-76, starting close to the intersection of Timpson Cove and Charlie Mountain Road). It is like a convenience store, with extras: live bait (crickets) and great barbeque (Dirk's).

In Clayton, Ingles is the best bet, for groceries. It is on US-441 North, a couple of blocks north of the intersection of 441 and US-76, on the right (east) side.

Walmart is on US-441 South, about a mile south of the 441/76 intersection. Groceries are not up to the Ingles standard, but are okay. We use Walmart for groceries when we also need things other than groceries. Also, Home Depot is next door.

Osage Farms (fruit and vegetable farm market) is in Rabun Gap, at 5030 US-441 (east side of highway). It is open May through October. Great produce, very fresh, often just arriving straight from the nearby fields.)
