Minnehaha Falls

A short hike (half mile, maybe) from Bear Gap Road (alongside Lake Rabun) takes you to a spectacular waterfall.


From our cottage, it's about 12 miles . . .

1. East on Timpson Cove to Charlie Mountain. Right on Charlie Mountain, to its end. 
2. Right on Bridge Creek, to its end.
3. Left on Lake Seed Road; follow until you reach the dam, and take a right on Bear Gap Road, which crosses a bridge over the Tallulah River (coming out of Lake Seed). 
4. Continue on Bear Gap about 1.6 miles (mostly gravel); trailhead is barely a wide spot in the road, but look for steps leading up the hill, on the right. Maybe a sign, too.
